1. Independent educational app — no government affiliation

Aptitude And GK Guide is an independent educational platform and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any government entity or exam-conducting body (such as SSC, IBPS, UPSC, or RRB). Practice content is for educational purposes only. For official exam information, refer to ssc.gov.in, upsc.gov.in, ibps.in, and indianrailways.gov.in.

2. Data we collect

• On-device app data: your practice progress, accuracy, timing, favorites, notes, calculator history, and settings are stored locally on your device (SharedPreferences / local database). This data is not sent to our servers — we operate no account system and no backend for this app.
• Advertising data (Google AdMob): the app displays ads. Google and its partners may collect advertising identifiers, approximate location, device information, and ad interaction data to provide, measure, and personalize ads, per the Google Privacy Policy and AdMob policies.
• Feedback emails: if you contact us at codit.apps@gmail.com, we receive your email address and message content solely to respond.

We do not directly collect your name, phone number, precise location, contacts, or files.

3. How we use data

• Provide core features (questions, mock tests, progress tracking) fully offline on your device.
• Remember settings and progress on your device.
• Show ads via AdMob to support free development.
• Respond to support and feedback emails.

4. How data is shared

• We do not sell personal data.
• Data is shared with Google AdMob and Google Play services for advertising and app functionality, subject to Google's privacy policy.
• We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Data retention and deletion

Local progress data stays on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app. To delete it, use Android Settings → Apps → Aptitude And GK Guide → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app. Emails you send us are retained only as long as needed for support. To request deletion of an email thread, contact codit.apps@gmail.com.

6. Children

The app is a general educational tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Security

Local data is protected by Android app sandboxing. Email communications use your provider's security. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

8. Permissions

The app requests only permissions needed for its features (e.g., internet / network state for ads, notifications for study reminders, vibration for timer alerts, boot-completed to reschedule reminders). Permissions are never used to collect unrelated personal data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when the app changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, inside the app (About Us → Privacy Policy).
